Leadership of multi-million dollar projects in operations improvement and use of eBusiness in manufacturing, distribution, and life science industries.  Member of the core team that grew Scient’s revenue from $20MM in 1999 to $300MM in 2001, scaled the organization internationally, and tripled staff size over the same period.  Additional responsibilities included managing cross-functional delivery teams, project finances and client relationships. Illustrative engagements include:

 

Business Process Re-engineering Identified improvement opportunities, developed business case, and managed implementation of $10MM in first year savings at a $1B automotive manufacturer.  Managed outsourcing of plant stores, redesigned production planning and material management processes, and designed the infrastructure to support strategic supplier relationships including improved EDI use.

 

Product innovation development Developed a collaboration product to support merger and acquisition deal making for a major global professional services company.  Managed development of functional requirements, user interface and information architecture, rollout and support strategy, online support tools, and usability and QA testing.  Product launched to 2000 staff worldwide

·         Business Process Re-engineering and Change Mobilization: Reengineered European sales, marketing, and fulfillment operations for a computer products company to re-structure multiple national businesses to reduce SG&A costs by 10%. Created re-structuring plan and managed cross-functional teams to consolidate multiple national businesses by designing a pan-European structure and implemented new processes for product marketing, integrated call center and field sales operations, and order fulfillment

·         Supply Chain Reengineering Reengineered supply chain management processes for a medical devices manufacturer to support consolidation into three distribution centers worldwide.  Developed common forecasting, inventory planning, and product allocation processes together with the change agenda across manufacturing and distribution functions to improve product availability, reduce inventory, and improve coordination with new product launches.

 

·         Knowledge Management Led development and implementation of a global knowledge management product to provide online methodologies, industry, and benchmarking information. Managed product design, development of content management processes, product pilots, and design of the client organization and processes for ongoing product support.

 

·         Business/IT Alignment Led review of an IT strategy for an industrial products company.  Re-prioritized the strategy to better meet the needs of the business, such as better integrating the order-to-manufacture and installation/after-sales processes, and created phased implementation plan.
